I knew from my studies that I wanted to direct my career into business and human resources. I have always enjoyed working with people and somehow, I felt that a similar type of work could be the right one for me.

When I joined Hays, I had very little experience with recruitment and had no idea how extensive and complicated recruitment was. My starting position was Recruitment Researcher, where I was responsible for the search and pre-selection of candidates. Thanks to great colleagues, I understood IT and was able to advance in my career. I gradually worked my way up to the role of a consultant, where I am responsible for communication with both clients and candidates. The work of a consultant is very varied, as you have the opportunity to talk to interesting people every day and you constantly learn a lot of useful information from the IT world, which changes and develops so quickly.

In 2022 I have been promoted into a Team Leader, and later into a Head of Technology Permanent Recruitment role and am currently leading one of the biggest teams at Hays in Prague. Together with my team, we are recruitment partners to our clients, mostly international companies, and we help them to find IT experts – software developers, cyber security experts, cloud engineers, administrators, data analysts and many more. It certainly not an easy job, but every success and positive feedback from the candidate is worth it. It is important not to be afraid of learning new things, get out of your comfort zone and be hardworking. If you have these qualities, you have a good chance of being successful in this job.
